My bank card no longer taps. I have to insert the card but when I do the transactions get declined (using credit), using savings also fails as there is no savings account on the account.
Anyone facing same issues?

Hey Pat - first I’ve heard of it - not getting this from elsewhere - stating the bleeding obvious but assume you’ve not locked it and there’s funds in the account? If so, need to get you sorted. Can you contact the Xinjarati via chat in the app ? They can look at your account specifically.
It’s not even tapping. That’s where my issue is. Where as a declined I know it’s an auth or logic issue. I can hold my card near a ready for minutes and wave it and nothing will happen. As if something has desensatized my card or the card itself has a broken tap circuit/chip.
I guess in a nut shell I can describe it as like tapping a drivers license at an eftpos xD
I’ve recently had this issue. Card stopped working for tapping at a couple of machines. Now working again but I have to be really cautious with it and put the whole card flat on a machine where before it basically worked almost coming into contact with a machine.
@chrisbingon oh interesting! I’ve been having the same issue with a non Xinja card I have to use sometimes
. I thought it was just that card but now I’m wondering if it’s a PayWave issue. I’ll follow up with a Xinjarati to see if they have any information and get back to you both ASAP!
Had a test. Definetly Xinja. I used another card and it worked right away

@XinjaPat good to know. We are looking into the issue you’ve described, if you get a chance, jump onto either the in app chat or call the Xinjarati on 1800 946 527 and they can investigate it further.
I can swing by the office if you want too. Just let me know in advanced and can test with my card
Card seems to work again. Make no sense to me unless something sensative on the card is playing up?
