Nab Half Year Results

An interesting/sad graph on Page 15 of the NAB half year investor presentation.

It shows a graph of their customer deposits and the interest rate they are earning.

In summary, they have ~$194bn of deposits earning less than 1% interest.

They almost brag about “$130bn of deposits at zero or near zero interest rate”

Is going to be a fascinating few years seeing how this all plays out.

Indeed @Azzy! Sad when banks are celebrating low interest paid to customers, we are all in a low interest environment. Banks also need to think about how they can help customers make more, when even the high interest rates on savings accounts are barely keeping pace with inflation.
